Dr. Shawn Thomas
Dr. Thomas attended Loyola University Chicago before earning his dental degree at Marquette University School of Dentistry where he graduated with high honors. He then completed a three-year residency in periodontics and implant dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Thomas is highly trained in both surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy, as well as implant therapy. Such procedures include gingival grafting, crown elongation, osseous/pocket reduction surgery, bone grafting, ridge augmentation, sinus augmentation, All-On-X dental implants, and more. Patient satisfaction is of highest importance to Dr. Thomas and he strives to make sure all of his patients are comfortable during all procedures. Today, he is certified in Wilckodontics, which is also known as Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics (AOO), a procedure that allows teeth to be shifted by orthodontic movement at a faster pace. Dr. Thomas is also certified by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) where he underwent significant training to administer Botox to relieve TMD/TMJ pain, migraine pain, and smooth wrinkle lines on the face. He has another certification to provide dermal fillers to enhance the lips and restore youthful volume to the face as well. On top of this, Dr. Thomas is a member of several professional groups that include: American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Indiana Dental Association, Illinois Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society. When he isn't spending time with family, Dr. Thomas enjoys to cook and try new recipes. You'll often find him in the kitchen, but he also likes to try new restaurants, travel to new cities across the world, and stay active by playing football, volleyball, and kickball.
